A man was arrested on Saturday afternoon after climbing the Eiffel Tower to display an American flag. Paris police reported that the man scaled the structure between the second and third floors. This unauthorized climb forced the evacuation of the monument's forecourt and two of its levels. Authorities apprehended the individual just as he reached the third floor. His identity and motives remain unknown, but he is currently suspected of endangering others' lives. The incident occurred around the time of the United States' Independence Day celebrations. This event follows a similar recent incident in New York City involving the Empire State Building.
