Perikatan Nasional (PN), a Malaysian political coalition, is experiencing delays in finalizing its candidate distribution for the upcoming Johor state election. According to PN information chief Annuar Musa, while seat allocations for over half of the coalition’s 56 targeted seats have been confirmed, negotiations are ongoing for the remaining constituencies. The delays stem from competing claims among parties within the coalition seeking to contest specific seats. Despite the ongoing discussions, Musa indicated progress is being made towards a complete lineup. The coalition aims to strategically position candidates to maximize its chances in the election. A finalized list is anticipated as negotiations conclude, paving the way for the official campaign period. The election date has not yet been announced.
