Malaysia Healthcare Tourism Council (MHTC) has introduced two new mascots, “Dr Wira” and “Sister Manja,” to bolster its medical tourism initiatives. These characters are designed to embody Malaysia's commitment to blending quality healthcare with warm hospitality, encapsulated in the slogan "Healing Meets Hospitality." The mascots will be central to promoting Malaysia as a premier medical tourism destination. Their unveiling supports the upcoming Malaysia Year of Medical Tourism 2026, a national campaign aimed at attracting international patients. MHTC believes Dr Wira and Sister Manja will create a relatable and engaging brand identity for Malaysia’s healthcare offerings. The initiative seeks to solidify Malaysia’s position in the global medical tourism market and drive growth in the sector. These mascots will feature prominently in marketing and promotional materials.
