Mr. Jamsairi "Bobby" Kamaruddin discovered his passion for lion dance when he was only eight years old. His lifelong dedication to the art form led him to start his own troupe at the age of 18. Today, he continues to lead the group alongside his children, ensuring the tradition persists across generations. The troupe is unique because it consists primarily of Malay members practicing a performance art rooted in Chinese culture. This initiative serves as a bridge between different ethnic communities through a shared love of art. By blending diverse backgrounds, Bobby promotes cultural exchange and mutual respect. His success demonstrates how traditional arts can transcend ethnic boundaries in a multicultural society.
