Wildfires raging across the Madrid and Ávila regions of Spain have already devastated 45,000 hectares of land. More than 88,500 people have been forced to evacuate or remain confined to their homes as the blazes spread rapidly. Strong wind gusts are severely hindering firefighting efforts, and currently, the fires remain uncontrolled.
