A spectacular autumn horse drive, known locally as “koński redyk,” has taken place in the Beskid Niski mountains of Poland. Over one hundred Hucul mare and foal have journeyed from pastures within the Beskid Niski region back to the Hucul Horse Stud in Regietów. Organizers have playfully dubbed the annual event their “Little Yellowstone,” referencing the visual spectacle of the moving herd. This traditional migration sees the horses accompanied by riders as they traverse the mountainous terrain. The event is considered one of the most picturesque occurrences in the Beskid Niski area. The horses will remain at the stud in Regietów for the winter months.
