Six people have died in separate lightning strikes across Savar and Narshingdi districts of Bangladesh. In Savar, three agricultural workers were struck while working in fields on Sunday afternoon, near Konda Bazar in the Bongao Union. Simultaneously, three individuals died in Narshingdi after being struck by lightning while performing ablutions in a pond attached to a Madrasa. Authorities report the incidents occurred during recent storms impacting the region. Identities of the victims are being confirmed by local officials. These deaths underscore the dangers posed by lightning during the monsoon season in Bangladesh, where open fields and water bodies increase vulnerability.
