Simon Levy, a 41-year-old British man recently sentenced to life in prison for the murder of two women and the sexual assault of a third, has been charged with attacking a prison guard. The incident occurred at Belmarsh prison, where Levy allegedly stabbed the guard with a pen. Following the stabbing, he reportedly attempted to strangle the officer. The assault took place in February but charges were filed Monday. Levy’s conviction last week involved multiple severe crimes, leading to the life sentence. Authorities are investigating the attack and ensuring the safety of prison staff.
