Latvia has adjusted its childhood vaccination schedule to provide earlier protection against measles. The government-approved amendments will now see the second dose of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine administered to children at age four, a reduction from the previous age of seven. This change aims to bolster immunity levels and prevent potential outbreaks of the highly contagious disease. The decision was reported by LETA, the Latvian national news agency.
