Major land registry projects across 16 Romanian communes are facing significant delays and technical issues, according to an investigation by Public Record. Contracts totaling 40 million lei (approximately 8.8 million EUR) with the National Agency for Cadastre and Land Publicity (ANCPI) are affected. Over 1,800 disputes have emerged, particularly in the Viscri area, hindering project completion. The investigation points to contractual data and administrative complaints as evidence of these blockages. Molbak Proiect SRL is the company involved in the stalled contracts. These delays impact property rights clarification and potentially broader regional development initiatives. The issues raise questions about project management and dispute resolution within the national land registry system.
