The La community is taking legal action to contest the recent demolition of structures at La Pleasure Beach. Their lawyer, Nsiah Akuetteh, asserts the demolition constitutes trespass and disputes the ownership of the land. Legal proceedings have commenced to challenge the October 2nd demolition, impacting over 85 businesses and more than 4,000 individuals. The La Pleasure Beach management’s legal team intends to oppose any transfer of the disputed property to investors until the ownership issue is legally settled. Business owners are facing significant financial hardship and uncertainty as a result of the demolition. The community aims to clarify land ownership through the courts and prevent further development until a resolution is reached. The case centers on whether those who carried out the demolition had the legal right to do so.
