Kyiv faced its largest Russian ballistic missile attack since the war began overnight Saturday into Sunday, according to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha. Approximately 41 ballistic missiles were launched at Kyiv, marking a significant escalation in the conflict. Simultaneously, the Odesa region was also targeted by Russian forces, resulting in a strike on a local amusement park. While the initial estimate was 48 missiles, the military later revised the number down to 41. This attack represents one of the most powerful Russian offensives to date, raising concerns about the continued intensity of the war. Ukrainian air defenses reportedly intercepted a number of the incoming missiles, but damage and casualties are still being assessed.
