Vocational Training Centres (VTCs) in Kiambu County are actively contributing to local development through the production of cabro stones. These stones are being utilized to enhance infrastructure, including roads, walkways, and trading centres throughout the region. Currently, cabro installation is underway at Muguga VTC, demonstrating the practical application of skills learned. This initiative represents a shift for the VTCs, transitioning them into active participants in infrastructure projects. The program aims to improve the local environment while providing valuable hands-on experience for students. By producing cabro stones locally, Kiambu County is fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency within its communities. This approach ensures sustainability and addresses infrastructure needs directly.
