Shurandy “Tyson” Q., a leading figure in the No Limit Soldiers criminal organization, has been extradited from Dubai to Curaçao. Considered a key leader in international cocaine trafficking, money laundering, and suspected involvement in murders, Q.’s extradition marks a significant step in combating organized crime within the Kingdom of the Netherlands’ Caribbean territories. Despite initial resistance, the United Arab Emirates’ Supreme Court approved the extradition request filed by Curaçao in September 2024. Due to security concerns on Curaçao, Q. is currently being held in a high-security prison in Vught, Netherlands, pending his trial. Prosecutors believe his arrival is crucial to an ongoing investigation into No Limit Soldiers, with further arrests anticipated. Q. is often referred to as the “Taghi of Curaçao,” drawing parallels to Dutch drug lord Ridouan Taghi, due to his alleged leadership of a large-scale criminal network.
