The Kenyan government has endorsed a new partnership between Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions and the Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examinations Board (KASNEB). This collaboration aims to enhance youth employability by integrating professional accounting and management certifications directly into technical training programs. The initiative was launched at a forum for KASNEB’s Centres of Excellence and Accredited Training Institutions, where new KASNEB Revision Guides were also unveiled. Officials believe the integration will provide TVET graduates with recognized professional qualifications, increasing their competitiveness in the job market. The move is intended to address skills gaps and align training with industry needs. This partnership signifies a commitment to bolstering the quality and relevance of vocational education in Kenya, ultimately contributing to economic development.
