Australia has announced its athletics team for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, with Rohan Browning and Trae Williams selected for the 100m alongside Jack Hale. Rising star, Peter Bol, will compete in the 800m. Notably, Josh Azzopardi, who finished second in the 100m at the national championships, was not selected for the individual 100m event, reflecting the increased competition within the Australian sprinting ranks. Alex Hartmann and Riley Day have also been included in the team. The team announcement highlights Australia’s strengthened sprinting depth, leading to difficult selection decisions. Rohan Kennedy will aim for a sprint double, competing in both the 100m and 200m events.
