Kazakhstan is rapidly positioning itself as a key player in the artificial intelligence market. US-based Firebird AI has chosen Kazakhstan as its second market, initiating a 125-megawatt computing facility in Ekibastuz. This project is central to Kazakhstan’s national strategy of developing its own AI infrastructure. The aim is to capture a larger portion of the burgeoning global AI economy. The development signifies growing international confidence in Kazakhstan’s investment climate and technological potential. The project received support from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence, underlining the government's commitment to the sector. The Ekibastuz facility is part of a larger “Data Center Valley” initiative, designed to foster growth in the AI and data processing industries.
