Joseph Kasozi holds a one-stroke lead after the first day of the 94th Johnnie Walker Uganda Amateur Open held at the Uganda Golf Club. Despite challenging, rain-affected conditions, Kasozi delivered a strong performance, finishing with a 4 under-par score. His round included six birdies achieved on holes 1, 5, 8, 10, 14 and 15, offset by a single bogey on hole 12. The 94th edition of the tournament has officially teed off with Kasozi setting the early pace. The Independent Uganda is covering the event.
