Police in Kaolack, Senegal, have arrested two men following a nighttime phone theft on February 15, 2026. The victim, A. Ba Coulibaly, had her mobile phone snatched while outside her home in the Kasaville neighborhood. Alerted by her cries, local residents pursued the thieves on a motorbike, successfully apprehending one suspect with the stolen phone. Police arrived and, following interrogation, the suspect identified his accomplice. Both individuals are now in custody, facing charges of theft committed at night with the use of a vehicle. The motorbike used in the crime has been impounded as evidence, and an investigation is underway.
