Kampala residents and businesses will be required to pay fees ranging from 1,000 to 40,000 Shillings for waste generated during the upcoming National Cleaning Day on August 29th. KCCA Executive Director Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki stated the fees are a necessary measure for proper waste disposal. This initiative aims to encourage responsible waste management practices amongst citizens. The move seeks to ensure the city remains clean and sanitary following the national event.
