French artist JR’s large-scale artwork, “The Cave,” located on Paris’ Pont Neuf, has reopened to the public after undergoing repairs. The artwork, a photographic collage creating an illusion of a cave within the bridge’s arches, was damaged by strong winds on June 2nd, causing tears to the canvas. JR announced the reopening on Monday afternoon, confirming the completion of necessary repairs. Visitors can now access the installation free of charge, 24 hours a day. “The Cave” is known for its trompe-l'oeil effect and is a temporary installation by the artist, famed for his monumental photographic projects. The reopening allows the public to once again experience this unique and immersive artwork.
