Following the July 28th earthquake in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, seven prefectures in Kyushu are launching a substantial tourism initiative. The program offers accommodation subsidies of up to 60% to incentivize travel to the region. The subsidy applies to stays beginning in October, covering a broad range of accommodations. Participating prefectures include Kumamoto, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima, and Saga.
