The Government of Japan will provide $1.8 million to finance food assistance for those affected by the humanitarian crisis in Cabo Delgado province, Mozambique. The funding will be channeled through the World Food Programme (WFP) to address urgent food needs within the region. This aid aims to support internally displaced people and vulnerable communities struggling with food insecurity caused by ongoing conflict and natural disasters. The Japanese government expresses concern regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Cabo Delgado and hopes this contribution will alleviate some of the suffering. The assistance will focus on providing essential food items and nutritional support. This is the latest in a series of aid packages Japan has offered to Mozambique to address various challenges.
