Jagannath University (JNU) administration has officially approved the establishment of an Anti-Tobacco Club on campus. The approval, granted as a co-educational organization, allows the club to commence operations and activities within the university. The decision was formalized through an official order issued on Wednesday, June 10th, following an order from the Vice-Chancellor on March 30th. The order was signed by Acting Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Sheikh Gias Uddin and Deputy Registrar Mohammad Mashirul Islam. This initiative aims to promote tobacco awareness and discourage its use among students. The club is expected to organize programs and campaigns to educate the university community about the harmful effects of tobacco.
