Italian students narrowly escaped the same fate as those killed in a recent plane crash near Peru’s Nazca Lines. The students shared a video online of their flight over the archaeological site just hours before the tourist plane went down, claiming 13 lives, seven of whom were Italian. They expressed shock and relief, acknowledging their luck while recognizing the inherent risks of such flights. The crash claimed the lives of two families from the Brianza region of Italy. The students described the flight as a “unique experience” but warned it carried a percentage of risk. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
