An Islamabad court has rejected the post-arrest bail applications for individuals accused of illegally trading human placentas. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested the suspects following a raid where they allegedly procured placentas from hospitals and clinics. Investigations revealed a network allegedly selling the placentas to individuals in China for purported medicinal purposes, specifically stem cell extraction.
