Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is expanding its investigation into alleged bribery surrounding the audit of Muara Enim Regency’s financial reports. The KPK has indicated it may summon officials from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for questioning. This development stems from a probe into alleged attempts to influence the outcome of the audit. Focus is being placed on the role of a former expert staff member, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, in the alleged scheme. The investigation centers on accusations of bribery intended to manipulate the audit results for Muara Enim Regency’s financial statements. The KPK is working to determine the extent of involvement of individuals within the BPK. Further examinations are expected as the anti-corruption agency seeks to uncover the full scope of the alleged corruption.
