A 44-year-old woman was killed by a reticulated python in a remote village in Indonesia. The woman’s husband discovered her body on a plantation after she failed to return while collecting cattle. The python, measuring approximately 8 meters (26 feet) in length, had constricted and attempted to consume the victim. Authorities confirmed the cause of death as constriction by the snake. This incident highlights the dangers posed by large pythons in the region, where they are known to prey on livestock and, rarely, humans. Local officials are warning residents to exercise extreme caution when venturing into rural areas.
