Indonesia’s Ministry of Social Affairs is responding to findings from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) regarding 1,747 program assistants for the Family Hope Program (PKH). The BPK identified potential conflicts of interest stemming from dual employment held by these assistants in 2025. This has resulted in a requirement to return Rp7.9 billion (approximately $500,000 USD) to the state. The Ministry is currently taking steps to address these findings and ensure accountability. The issues center around assistants holding multiple positions, potentially compromising the effectiveness and fairness of the PKH program. This action demonstrates the government’s commitment to transparency and responsible use of public funds in social welfare initiatives. Further investigations may be conducted to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
