An Indonesian National Police officer, Kompol M. Fadli Amri, has earned a Doctorate in Law from a university, focusing his research on a novel approach to policing. His dissertation proposes “sociopreneurship policing,” a model designed to strengthen security through community-based initiatives. This concept integrates entrepreneurial and social approaches into law enforcement strategies. Amri, currently serving at the National Police Headquarters’ SSDM, argues this method fosters stronger relationships between police and the communities they serve. The research aims to move beyond traditional reactive policing towards a more proactive and collaborative security framework. This doctoral work suggests a potential shift in Indonesian law enforcement towards greater community engagement and problem-solving. It highlights a growing interest in innovative policing strategies within the force.
