Indonesia’s National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, recently visited the graves of former Indonesian presidents. The visits included the tombs of Sukarno, the nation’s first president, and Abdurrahman Wahid, also known as Gus Dur. Prabowo then paid respects at the final resting place of General Soeharto at the Giribangun cemetery complex. The police chief laid flowers at each grave as part of the commemorative visits. These actions demonstrate respect for the leaders who shaped Indonesia’s history. The visits were conducted as a series of individual pilgrimages to the former presidents’ burial sites.
