Indonesia’s Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, has awarded high-performing regional leaders in the Papua region with a total of Rp64 billion (approximately $4 million USD) in regional incentive funds. The funds are being distributed as a reward for achievements in local governance. The initiative aims to encourage continued progress and effective administration within the Papua provinces. This distribution of Dana Insentif Daerah (DID) recognizes successful leadership and contributions to regional development. The awards were presented in Jayapura, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting local leadership in Papua.
