Indonesia’s Social Affairs Ministry and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) have forged a partnership to enhance the quality of “People's Schools” (Sekolah Dasar Negeri) across Indonesia. The collaboration, formalized on Thursday, will leverage domestic research to address specific needs and improve educational outcomes within these schools. BRIN will provide research-based insights and innovations, while the Ministry will oversee implementation and integration of findings into existing programs. This initiative aims to strengthen the foundation of education for Indonesian children and support the nation's human capital development goals. Officials emphasized the importance of locally-sourced research to ensure solutions are relevant and effective in the Indonesian context. The partnership signifies a commitment to evidence-based policymaking and improved service delivery in the education sector of Indonesia.
