Indonesia’s Ministry of Home Affairs is accelerating the demarcation of village boundaries in three regencies within Southeast Sulawesi province. The initiative is being carried out by the Directorate General of Village Government, through the Integrated Land Administration and Spatial Planning Project (ILASPP). The project aims to resolve longstanding border disputes between villages in the region. This effort focuses on establishing clear and legally defined boundaries to prevent future conflicts. The Ministry anticipates this will improve local governance and land management. The ILASPP provides technical assistance and resources to facilitate the boundary demarcation process. This move is part of a broader national effort to clarify administrative boundaries across Indonesia.
