Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition, Bahlil Lahadalia, has directed state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina to increase fuel shipments to the islands of Bali and East Java due to concerns over adequate supply. This decision comes amidst rising demand in these regions, particularly during peak tourist seasons in Bali. Lahadalia emphasized the importance of maintaining fuel availability to support economic activity and prevent disruption to daily life in both provinces. Pertamina will prioritize deliveries to ensure sufficient stock in storage facilities throughout Bali and East Java. Government officials have assured the public that the fuel supply situation is under control, but proactive measures are being taken to mitigate any potential shortages. These measures demonstrate Indonesia's commitment to ensuring energy security in key tourism and economic zones like Bali and East Java.
