The five-match Twenty20 International series between India and West Indies concluded in a 2-2 draw after the deciding match at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium was abandoned due to rain on Saturday. Play began nearly an hour and 45 minutes late, and the match was reduced to nine overs per side. India had reached 118-5 in 7.4 overs when further rain brought an end to the contest, precluding even a shortened shootout. The match, Bengaluru’s first international fixture since a Test between India and New Zealand in October 2024, drew over 20,000 fans despite the weather. India’s batters, including Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, and Naman Dhir, had aggressively scored, hitting eight fours and seven sixes. Kishan notably hit the 100th six of the series before the decisive downpour ended all hopes of a result.
