Village Hopecore International is actively working to increase awareness of exclusive breastfeeding and improve maternal nutrition within Tharaka Nithi County, Kenya. This initiative coincides with World Breastfeeding Week and aims to address nutritional needs of mothers and infants. Dr. Mutuma Njagi, Hopecore's Head of Public Health, highlighted the importance of these efforts during an event at Kirumi Health Centre. The organization’s increased focus seeks to build upon existing progress in breastfeeding practices within the country.
