Honda has announced a new global name for its hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) technology. Previously known as “Honda Intelligent MultiMode Drive” or “i-MMD,” the system will now be branded as “Honda e:HEV.” This change aims to simplify branding and streamline communication regarding Honda’s hybrid offerings across international markets, including Indonesia. The “e:HEV” designation will be applied to all hybrid models moving forward, signalling the company’s commitment to electrification. Honda believes this unified naming convention will help customers easily identify and understand their hybrid technology. The rollout of the new branding will begin with the latest generation of Honda vehicles equipped with the hybrid system, solidifying Honda’s position in the evolving automotive landscape. The company intends to expand its electrified vehicle portfolio globally.
