A Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Homa Bay County, Kenya, has provided crucial financial assistance to 120 vulnerable students. Yamalang’o CBO intervened to prevent learners in North Kanyabala Sub-location from being forced to leave school due to unpaid fees. The organization successfully mobilized resources within the community to cover the outstanding school fees. This support is particularly significant for students from financially challenged backgrounds who were at risk of interrupting their education. The CBO’s efforts demonstrate the power of local initiatives in addressing educational inequalities. By ensuring continued access to schooling, Yamalang’o CBO is fostering hope and opportunity for these learners. This intervention highlights a commitment to education within the Homa Bay community.
