The “Prince’s Road” to Pustevny, a famed route in the Czech Republic, is preparing to host another stage of the Czech Tour cycling race. While not the longest or steepest climb, the road’s challenging and ever-changing terrain has earned it legendary status among cyclists. It has witnessed historic moments, including post-war Czechoslovakian cycling legends competing and hosting stages of the Peace Race. Recently, the route saw a dramatic battle as Cian Uijtdebroeks attempted to overtake Junior Lecerfa. The road has also sadly been the site of fatal accidents. As the Czech Tour returns, the question remains whether this iconic route will deliver another memorable chapter in its rich cycling history.
