Elvira Habota, Director of the Directorate for European Integration (DEI) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, has released the results of a recent public opinion survey. The data indicates that citizen support for joining the European Union remains strong. Specifically, 74.4 percent of the population continues to favor EU membership. Despite this high level of support, the findings suggest that citizens are focused on practical outcomes. There is a significant interest in how European integration will concretely affect their daily lives. The survey was conducted by the DEI to gauge attitudes ahead of 2026. These results highlight a persistent desire for integration coupled with a demand for tangible improvements.
