The District Criminal and Civil Court of First Instance in Ulaanbaatar has ordered the one-month pre-trial detention of B.Baatar, the director of “Hero Entertainment.” The decision came after a review of a proposal from the Ulaanbaatar City Prosecutor's Office, which alleges B.Baatar organized activities that incited social division and hostility based on differing viewpoints. Initially, the court declined to accept the prosecutor's proposal. However, a subsequent review by the presiding judge found the initial court decision did not meet legal requirements, specifically regarding the dismissal of evidence. The judge determined sufficient evidence existed suggesting B.Baatar committed and completed a crime. As a result, the prosecutor's appeal was accepted, and B.Baatar will be held in pre-trial detention for one month, starting October 5, 2026.
