An ATM in Helmond was targeted in an explosion early this morning, causing significant damage to surrounding buildings. Residents reported hearing two blasts around 4:15 AM on the Mierloseweg. Police confirmed the use of an explosive device at the ATM location. The facade of the building housing the ATM, as well as an adjacent bakery, sustained heavy damage, including shattered windows. Debris, primarily glass, is scattered across the street and affected properties on the opposite side. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the explosion. The amount of money, if any, stolen during the incident remains unknown and is currently under investigation.
