Météo-France has issued an orange alert for the Hérault and Pyrénées-Orientales departments in southern France starting Saturday due to anticipated heat. While a heatwave is developing, meteorologists state it is currently too early to definitively label it as such or predict its peak intensity. The approaching heat episode is expected in the coming days however. Météo-France cautions against prematurely assessing the severity of this weather event. Currently, forecasts suggest the beginning of July won't experience temperatures as extreme as those seen in June. Authorities are advising residents to prepare for hot weather and follow safety guidelines. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
