A tram in The Hague’s Ypenburg district derailed early this morning following a collision with a DHL delivery truck at the intersection of Rijswijkse Langslaan and de Singel, near Delft. The tram reportedly struck the truck as it was crossing the intersection, resulting in the derailment. The tram driver was examined by paramedics at the scene but did not require hospitalization. The truck driver was also reported to be unharmed. Approximately ten passengers were on board the tram at the time of the incident, and none sustained injuries. Recovery efforts are underway, with a tow truck removing both the tram and the truck from the scene; the front of the tram sustained significant damage.
