Over 800 dancers gathered in Thessaloniki, Greece, in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the largest simultaneous Zeibekiko dance. The event was meticulously organized by Alzheimer Hellas and the Association of Friends of the Hellenic Association for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders (EADAS). The Zeibekiko is a traditional Greek folk dance, often performed solo and known for its expressive movements. Organizers hoped the event would raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s disease research and support services. The attempt is currently awaiting official verification from Guinness World Records. The large turnout demonstrates strong community support for the cause and celebrates Greek cultural heritage. The event aimed to combine cultural expression with charitable fundraising.
