The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has announced another increase in gold prices, effective Monday morning. The price of 22-karat gold has risen by 5,482 taka per *bhori* (11.664 grams), now costing 230,422 taka. This marks a new record high for gold prices in the country. BAJUS cited rising prices of pure gold in the local market as the reason for the adjustment. The new prices are effective as of 10:00 AM on Monday, June 15th, according to a notification issued by the association. This is the latest in a series of price increases for gold in Bangladesh this year.
