Gold prices in Bangladesh have increased again, just two days after a previous hike, impacting the cost of jewellery for consumers. The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced the price increase, citing rising costs of pure gold and silver in the local market. Specifically, the price of 22-carat gold has risen by 470 taka per gram. This brings the price to approximately 246,112 taka per *bhori* (a traditional unit of weight, roughly 11.66 grams). BAJUS stated the new prices reflect overall market conditions and the increased cost of raw materials. The latest adjustment is expected to affect the jewellery industry and consumer spending habits.
