A family picnic in Giresun, Turkey, turned tragic after a sudden flash flood swept them away from a riverbank. The Kırca family was caught off guard by rapidly rising waters following heavy rainfall in the Görele district. While the father, Mehmet Kırca, managed to escape, his daughters Burçin (26) and Burcu Kırca were found dead; Burçin’s body near Çavuşlu and Burcu’s on the coastline. Search and rescue operations are ongoing for the missing mother, Zekiye Kırca. The incident highlights the dangers of unpredictable weather and river conditions during periods of heavy rain.
