Makeup Ghana has launched the Ghana Beauty & Wellness Index, a first-of-its-kind report quantifying the economic contribution of the country’s beauty and wellness sector. The index was commissioned to address a significant data gap within the industry, previously lacking concrete economic measurement. Launched in Accra, the report aims to provide valuable insights into the sector’s size, growth, and overall impact on the Ghanaian economy. This data is intended to attract investment, inform policy decisions, and support the development of businesses within the beauty and wellness space. The index covers a range of categories, including cosmetics, hair care, and wellness services. Makeup Ghana anticipates the index will be updated regularly to track the sector’s evolving landscape and provide ongoing economic analysis. The initiative seeks to establish Ghana as a key player in the African beauty and wellness market.
